Shaunna Jackson lends a hand of encouragement as she explains the necessity and value of trusting God when life has all but fallen apart. Her latest book “Immovable Faith” is a winner in the way of empowering people to keep pressing through their troubles, and not succumb to the pressures of every day life. This book gives us all a reason to not make our challenges a camp ground. Jackson encourages all of us to have a fixed eye on our goals, a firm foundation in the Word of God, and an immovable faith that says that when life is uncertain and we don’t understand anything that is going on around us, God is still in control and will work things out for our good; for those of us who love him, and have been called according to his purpose.
Parents across the country are finding the book to be a valuable resource when it comes to raising their adopted children. Ms. Jackson answers the many questions related to her experience as a Transracial Adoptee and says that to be successful in raising a child of another race, “love is necessary, but education and common sense are imperative.”
Jackson can be found in adoption seminars and on the internet speaking with prospective and current adoptive parents and families. Her conversation comes from growing up in a Caucasian family.
